"LOVE LIVING IN TEIGNMOUTH" HEALTH PROMOTION DAY

Our ‘Love Living in Teignmouth’ healthcare promotion day was a great success in November, as members of 23 local organisations came along to speak with the public about activities and services available to enrich their lives in the local community.

Teas, coffees and cakes were bought as visitors mingled at the event, which was all about getting the most out of life by focusing on Five Ways to Wellbeing: Be Active, Take Notice, Give, Learn and Connect. On hand to chat about these Five Ways, and what’s available locally to help you adopt them in your life, were representatives of all sorts of organisations – including social groups, NHS services, community centres and local charities.

Lots of fun was had, and new connections made, as people from all over the community spent an afternoon sharing information and sheltering from the weather in the Methodist Church Hall. Richmond Bear, a good friend of Dr Bates’, was also at the event. In our practice newsletter – which will be launched in January – he’ll be keeping you updated about his travels around Teignmouth to visit some of the organisations who were at the ‘Love Living in Teignmouth’ fair.

We've received lots of positive feedback, and all the team at Richmond House certainly enjoy hosting these events, so stay tuned for information about our future healthcare promotion days. A big thank you to all those who were able to attend on the day, we look forward to seeing you again next time!

We are the oldest doctor's surgery in Teignmouth and were established in the early 1800s as a single-handed practice.

As well as a source of information about our Practice, the doctors, staff and the services we provide, we hope you use the website as a useful resource with links to other reliable websites for health related information. If there is topical health information we will also add this to the website.
